Description: Role Overview
As a Video Creator at KHM, you’ll be responsible for editing short-form social media videos for multiple client accounts. Your job is to turn the raw footage that our clients upload for us into engaging, scroll-stopping videos that sound human, feel authentic, and perform well on social platforms.
This role is ideal for someone who:
Loves short-form video and social media trends
Is highly organized and deadline-driven
Enjoys batch work and repeatable systems
Can balance creativity with structure
Thinks strategically to turn boring videos into something engaging
This is a full-time role with a 40-hour weekly workload. Team members must be available for meetings, communications, and deadlines between 8 AM–5 PM CST, but have flexibility to complete their video work outside of those hours as long as all deliverables are completed on time.
Key ResponsibilitiesVideo Editing & Creation
Edit short-form videos reposted across platforms (TikTok, IG/FB Reels, and YT Shorts)
Create engaging b-roll, talking, and trendy videos based on what our clients upload for us
Add clean, on-brand text overlays and closed captions
Sync edits with music and trending sounds
Keep videos concise, fast-paced, and engaging
Storytelling & Quality
Ensure videos sound conversational and human (storytelling is SO important)
Use text overlays to clearly explain what’s happening, why it matters, and who our client is
Follow best practices for hooks, pacing, and platform-native formats
Maintain consistent quality across all client accounts
Workflow & Collaboration
Attend weekly team meetings in U.S.-based hours
Follow KHM’s video creation schedule and weekly deadlines
Work from video content calendars created by Account Managers
Upload completed videos by the required deadlines
Make revisions based on feedback by the required deadlines
Posting & Scheduling
Schedule approved TikTok videos in our scheduling app
Ensure correct captions, hashtags, and linked sounds are applied
Minimize scheduling errors
Organization & Systems
Manage multiple clients (10+) at once without missing deadlines
Use tools like Slack, Asana, Metricool, Google Drive, and AI platforms
Follow SOPs and training documents consistently
Communicate proactively when issues and questions arise
Qualifications
Prior experience editing short-form videos (TikTok/Reels/Shorts)
Comfortable using CapCut (desktop and mobile)
A strong understanding of social media trends and an obsession with keeping learning
Excellent attention to detail
Strong time management and ability to work independently
Reliable internet connection and ability to meet U.S. hours-based deadlines and team meetings
Nice-to-Haves
But not mandatory:
Experience editing content for companies, brands, or agencies
Familiarity with home service industries (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, etc.)
Experience working in a remote, systems-driven environment. How to Apply
