Description: Key Responsibilities
Social Media Management & Content Creation
Ensure consistency and timeliness in our digital efforts to diversify, enhance, and engage the DiscNY community
Manage and design content for all social media accounts—especially Instagram
Field requests for content posts from approved volunteers and staff to ensure organizational announcements reach the community in a timely manner
Post regular updates, including community events, registration deadlines, and schedule changes
Manage and regularly update the DiscNY LinkTree and the monthly Zeffy newsletter
Community Engagement & Marketing
Coordinate with staff and volunteers to gather content and highlight organizational impact
Showcase fundraising initiatives and other outreach campaigns to drive awareness and community engagement
Engage with followers and respond to messages and comments.
Execute volunteer, youth, and other spotlights to recognize those giving back to the community.
Required Qualifications
Familiarity with major social media platforms (Instagram, LinkTree, etc.)
Basic graphic design or visual content creation skills using Canva or similar platforms
Ability to manage time and work independently while coordinating with staff, volunteers, and community members
Organized and able to work in a self-directed environment
Strong written communication skills and ability to maintain consistent and branding in line with DiscNY’s mission
A team-first mindset
Recommended Qualifications
Experience in non-profit storytelling or sports-based community engagement.
Ability to track and report on basic engagement metrics to improve future outreach.
Knowledge, experience, understanding, and love for Ultimate Frisbee
Salary: $25 – $30 an hour
