Customs agent database — per-country profiles with USD-denominated pricing, permit capabilities, and preferred versus backup agents
Airport-carrier route table — mapping roughly 45 Canadian airports to carrier availability
Embargo tracking system — hard and soft embargoes per carrier, updatable by the ops team without a code deployment
Carrier rate management — three-carrier pricing matrix with negotiated contract rates
Crate type logic — plastic versus wooden crate rules by breed and airline
Connecting flight handling — routing changes, overnight kennel charges, additional health certificates
Human escalation interface — a clear dashboard for the ops team to action flagged leads
Make.com integration — connecting existing Webflow forms and partner referral channels to the agent pipeline
Azure deployment — migrating from Railway to Azure Container Apps
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Must have:
Strong full-stack development experience — we’re currently on TypeScript and Node but we’re open on stack if you make a good case
Experience building or working with AI agents in a production environment
Solid PostgreSQL skills — data modelling, migrations, query performance
Comfortable working with third-party APIs and integration platforms like Make.com or Zapier
Cloud deployment experience — Azure preferred, other cloud experience considered
Someone who can read a complex business rule and turn it into clean, testable code
Nice to have:
Experience with the Mastra AI framework or similar agent orchestration tools
Logistics, pricing engine, or e-commerce background
Experience building ops-facing dashboards or internal tools
What matters most to us is someone who takes the time to understand the business before writing a line of code. The domain is genuinely complex — airline embargoes, dimensional weight pricing, breed-specific regulations, customs clearance rules that vary by country. The right person finds that interesting, not overwhelming.
